MAY

Continuing with my monthly disciplines... this month I am saving all our water bottles to give to the family who dumpster dives in our neighborhood. They will be stoked. We drink a lot of water.

Lots of love...

for anyone who checks this. Here is the first of last weeks photos.

GIRLS NIGHT!! Alissa is in town from the bay area. Us girls always get together when she is here. Right now she's the only one not living in Orange County. This group of girlfriends have been in my life since jr. high and some since 2nd grade. We all grew up at Calvary Church in Santa Ana. We've spent the last 10+ years doing weekend trips most every year, weekly coffee nights (not as often anymore) and spontaneous outings celebrating holidays and anything else we call worthy of celebrating. We love watching each others families grow, getting updates on our separate lives (other friends, churches, vacations, jobs) and mostly laughing a lot and way too loud.

On our way to dinner at Javier's.

Full tummies.

We told them it was Liss's birthday. It's always someones when we're out. We round up or down to the nearest one. We like being sung too.

Me and Val with our Pinkberry.

The Weekend

Saturday we relaxed on the bay and took a nice stroll. I love our weather.

This tells a great story...

I had my camera the whole time and this is the only pic I got from Taylor Zeulner's 1st birthday party.

We had dinner at Spaghetti Factory with the Hartman's on Sunday and then walked around Newport. This is why we live here:

"Here it comes!!!"

I can't wipe the smile off my face every time I watch this video.

Out of Order

Always wanting more Oliver...

First, Rian is super cute. Second, he and Wallace have the same pose here.

I know. Dorks. Rian keeps a pair of sunglasses in his car for me. These are them.

Another bathtime photo.

Wearing Red

We went to an Angel's game Thursday night with my parents. Here's Wallace and his Poppa.

This Hilmerson's were at the game too. They came over to say Hi!

Our Ex-Neighbors

Earlier this week we went over to our ex-neighbors new home, in Irvine. It is such a cute place and we enjoyed an incredible tri-tip dinner. Here are the Spitlers... next time we'll try to include Don (husband/dad) in the "family" shot too.

The boys LOVE Wallace. When I was pregnant, Brandon had the countdown on his cell phone of how many days were left until Wallace arrives. He would shout it out to me whenever he saw me. Here's Dustin playing with Wallace.

Now this is hillarious. Rian was playing Guitar Hero with the boys in their bedroom and we caught some on video.

Pool Time

Most people who live around here, spent last weekend near water. It was HOT. Here we are at the pool.

Bubbly

Lately Wallace has been really into bubbles. He doesn't laugh or smile about it. He's very serious and concentrates on catching each one.

Lizard in our house

The other day when Rian told me, "By the way, I saw a lizard in the house this morning", he explained as if it looked like the one above. Today when it was climbing on our screen door, it was just a normal sized garden lizard. It must have shrunk. We flung it outside where Oliver chased it, having the time of his life. He got it and was left only with the lizard's tail. Don't be sad. That's why God made their tails like that.

downtown

Lara is celebrating her birthday this month and had some friends over to their place for dinner. Afterwards we walked to The Edison for drinks and desserts. A very cool new bar/lounge. Check out their site, you will want to go. Very very fun. After that we went to a small little dance club in Chinatown with some live art upstairs and lots of smoke machines and lasers downstairs. Rock and roll. Wallace spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy.

One of the many photos of us posing at home. Thanks for the pants, Beth.

Spring Bonfire

Last night our Life Group (Thursday night Bible study) had a bonfire in Balboa. Rian and I love these friends and the role they play in our lives. It's fun to see our families grow and all the kids run around together.

It's time...

to lower the crib again. This weekend I went in to get Wallace and he was STANDING UP, looking all around the room! Last week he started sitting up by himself and now he's grabbing on to all sorts of things and pulling himself up. He especially likes climbing on me, pulling himself up, and then giving a big bear hug. He's very snuggly and just when I feel like we're bonding and he knows me so well, he looks me in the eyes and says, "Dadadadada!".

Bay Cruise

There is no Nurture (MOPS) this week because of Spring Breaks, so our group went to Balboa and did the Harbor Cruise through the bay and out to the seals on the bell tower. Here are the little ones:

Wallace enjoyed peering out at the seals. I think he may have thought it was Gypsy out there.

First pony ride.

Jayden Justin

We were able to meet the newest member of our Life Group... JJ! We went to visit Tiffany & Justin last night at their house. Here we are with little JJ. Oh man, he is SOO cute. I wanted to kiss him all over. But I didn't.

Here's JJ with Wallace. Wallace looks so big next to him, but soon they'll seem more of the same size and will be buddies. For now, all Wallace cares about is JJ's soft hair.

FINALLY

We've been without internet for almost a week now and Earthlink just got us up and running again. IT'S ABOUT TIME! It was actually kind of refreshing to have no reason to go online. The emails just piled up, the blog sat alone, nothing was researched on google, and the computer lay closed on the desk. Such peace. Oh, who am I kidding... I was NOT happy and earthlink heard a thing or two about it. But we're all ok now and the blog has been updated.

Dodgers!

It's baseball season again...
We were totally HOOKED UP by Josh Norland (he's in our Life Group) who gave us 4 tickets to the Dodgers game Friday night. These were box seats on the 3rd baseline. So spacious and with a table and all you can eat Wolfgang Puck. Food was soooo delicious and it was a really good game too. We took Lara & Joe with us.
