Our friends Lara and Joe live down the road from us. Lara and Meg have been friends since second grade. Yes... we're doing a puzzle. I know, like old people. Rian really got into it.
This weekend we went with Megs family up to the Napa Valley area. Her cousin Nathan got married to Karisa in the city of Fairflied... which just so happens to be the Jelly Belly Bean capital of the world!! How did we get so lucky?!
The view of Napa Valley, where we went wine tasting, looked at art, and took in the views. Getting ready for the wedding. Us with Lauren at the dinner reception. Leaving from Oakland Airport.
The kicks have been coming in since week 16. Rian has even been able to feel a few for himself. It has been so exciting! Last Thursday we had another appointment and heard the heartbeat again. If you want to hear it for yourself, check it out HERE.
We rode the metro from the Santa Ana station to San Juan this Sunday. We visited the petting zoo, did some shopping, had the best authentic Mexican food and then took a (LONG) walk to JSerra Catholic School to watch Colby's basketball team play in a tournament. They won. We had a great day... it was very chilly and beautiful!
We spent New Years Day thinking about our 2007 goals. Each year we go to our favorite coffee shop to categorize our goals into lists. This years goals range from book reading to yoga to patience and encouragement to ministry to business growth. Top books to read this year are: investment, spiritual and parenting books. Happy New Year!
Each year for Christmas, Meghan's family takes us on a mystery trip. We pack our bags and come prepared for anything. Nothing beats Orange County and the many creative vacation options! Since we've been married, the surprise trips have been: Big Bear (2002); L.A. & Beverly Hills (2003); Catalina Island (2004); Palm Desert (2005); Old Town Pasadena (2006).
We found out a little before Thanksgiving that we have a baby on the way! The little guy (or girl) looks healthy and has a strong heartbeat and wiggly legs. We're due August 2, 2007.
To celebrate Rian's birthday I had some of his friends over for pizza and beer. Rian came too. It was a fun and layed back night celebrating his 27th. Happy birthday, babe!
